What the day is
Our ski host meets you in the boot room at 6:45 am with coffee, checks your gear, and puts you on the first shuttle of the day. You are clicked in at Teton Village before most of the valley has found its gloves.
The point of a ski host is not instruction, it is logistics. They know which lift is turning, where the wind has loaded overnight, which run the ski patrol just opened, and where to eat at eleven so you are not queueing at half past twelve with everyone else.
Groups are capped at six guests and matched by ability when you book, so nobody spends the morning waiting at the bottom of a run. If your group is stronger or gentler than expected, the host adjusts the day rather than the other way around.
We hold the shuttle at 3 pm for the ride home, and the boot room has a dryer running by the time you walk in. Timberline Table puts out hot cider and something fried at half past three.
